The man-made lake also spans into both Nelson and Anderson counties. The lake and state park are home to many types of wildlife. Bald Eagles, Blue Herons and more call Taylorsville Lake home. Many species of fish which include large and small mouth bass, crappie, hybrids, catfish and bluegill.
